Photograph Explanation:

Noctilucent Clouds. This wide image was taken 2 July 2011 while airborne at 33,000 feet. From this position approaching Denver, Colorado (near 38N, 105W) you can easily see some Noctilucent Clouds above the horizon to the north. The city of Denver can be seen illuminating some clouds above it, with the darkness of the Rocky Mountains to the left. This photo serves as proof that NLC have been seen as far south as Colorado! An incredible sight! Photo: BrianWhittaker (.com) as seen on www.SpaceClouds.info.
