Noctilucent Clouds. This wide image was taken 4 July 2004 while airborne at 34,000 feet. From this position near Lynn Lake in central Canada (near 57N, 101W) there are very few other observers. This bright and contrasting display eventually filled the entire sky as the sun rose higher towards daybreak and illuminate the NLC overhead. An incredible sight!
