Noctilucent Clouds. This image was taken 4 July 2008 while on the ground near Birmingham, UK (near 52N, 001W). Sharp contrasting edges made this cloud really stand out against the twilight. Always take the time to use binoculars and look for fine detail that would otherwise be missed. An incredible sight missed by most who were fast asleep inside!
