Noctilucent Clouds. This image was taken 27 June 2007 while on the ground near Birmingham, UK (near 52N, 001W). Odd patterns almost look like defective over-lapping images on old negatives, but this was truly the sight. Always take the time to use binoculars and look for fine detail that would otherwise be missed. An incredible sight missed by most who were fast asleep inside!
